If you would like to add a amp to your factory truck radio we have a new easy solution. The newest harness we have will give you a set of RCA off the rear fade of you factory radio. These left and right RCA leads can be extended to the location where you placed the new amp. The new harness requires no alterations to the factory radio or trucks wiring. Just unplug the 16 pin harness on the OEM radio and plug it into our harness. Then plug our harness back into the factory radio. There is also built-in a trigger wire to turn on and off your new amp. Route this wire from the radio to the place you are installing the amp along with the RCA's All that would be left would be to run your amp to the battery and connect the speakers your going to use.
We started with both male and female version of our BT ISO DIN connectors. The adaptor should work on all the radios that use our BT ISO DIN connector. Most all the trucks from 2006 and up to now will use this style of connector. It is wired as a pass thru connection where all your speakers that are working now with your factory radio will still work when you plug the BT ADD AMP-1 between the factory connector and the radio. We have connected a preamp output to the rear speaker leads so it would work perfect for a sub system that usually works off the rear fader of the OEM radio.The converter is a smart LOC version that provides you with a 12V remote output to turn on your aftermarket amp without the need to find a 12V input source. The adaptor features a 8V RCA output that are ruler-flat from 20-20kHzand Smart-Load technology with 60 ohmn loads to ensure uninterrupted audio playback when used with most OEM smart radios.The assembly with handle up to 55Watts. The factory rear speaker will still function same even with this addition.
NOTE Not all radios will have this connector plugged into the back of the radio. Be sure to check farther down the wires
to see if your is 6-8inches away from the radio. Some SmartNav Plus radios are wired this way.
