when i turn on the radio it plays for 5 to 10 min then it,. turns off by it self then goes back on again plays for a few min then off again but it holds all memory

Sounds like the radios thermal protection circuit is turning your radio off to protect itself.  when A RADIOS STARTS TO RUN HOT IT DOES THIS TO PROTECT ITSELF.  CHECK FOR SPEAKER WIRE PROBLEMS OR SPEAKERS SHORTING OUT.
