Does the wire harness have anything to do with the lights on my 2011 386 Cummings peterbilt

The 11 Pete uses the BT ISO DIN harness. One wire in that harness is associated with dash lights only. It is the ORANGE/white wire. It is called the illumination wire that will turn on a dimming mode if your radio has a matching wire on its harness. On wire in the harness should have effect on the outside lighting
