I have a css-6000e radio on my 2017 freightliner cascadia, would i need a wire harness if i wanted to change the radio or should it already be on there?

The CSS 6000E uses a standard ISO like most of the newer trucks. If you switch to another radio and just unplug the CSS radio that same harness might fir the new radio with same style of harness. If not use a (BT ISO DIN) to plug into it so you will have a pigtail to splice to another radio
