The factory amp and sub is run from line in and works from the speaker level outputs from the factory radio. So replacing the radio your hookup will work the same. The only thing that is different is you will have to trigger the factory amp on with the new radios blue/white trigger wire. A good way to find that wire is to test the factory radios wiring whlie it is still hooked up on the truck. Probe the seperate small plugs for a wire that shows 12volts only when the radio is turned on. Usually this is found in a smaller seperate wire other than the ones found in our harness. Now if you truck is a 2013 model the blue trigger wire is in our harness and all you have to do is make sure you hook the blue/white to it and you will turn on the factory

Can-Bus is a issue with some trucks. Not all have a canbus system. More trucks are not canbus than are. If you are getting ready to install a new radio in a truck and are worried that yours is then contact your service center and ask if your truck is canbus.
If you discover this issue after you have installed a radio the only work around would be to wire the power wires both ing. and bat wires to another power source that the computer does not monitor. To my knowledge ther is no way to tell if your truck is canbus or not without asking your
