How do you stop sound from dimming after changing all the speakers in a 2023 Peterbilt 389 with smartnav

2 things come to mine that might make your improvements dimminshed. 1st would be to make sure that you hooked the speakers up correctly and did not get them out of phaze.  This would effect the bass for sure.  If thats your problem, let me know and I will tell you how to test for that.  The 2nd reason which is most likely is the radio itself.  The stereo in your truck being OEM was a matched system with the OEM speakers.  They complimated each other and together they were acceptable for the manufacture as a sound source.  Just changing the speakers did not improve the overall performance for the radio still having its own specs to play but so loud and play a limited frequency range set by the factory speaker system.  There was some improvement when you changed the speakers but not as much as you expected.  A lot remained the same like the radios frequency responce and power   Read more...
