Hey I want to replace my stereo in my 13 389 and I have a factory subwoofer and I was told that I might need a separate harness so I wouldn't burn out the sub. Just wondering how I would know?

The factory amp and sub is run from line in and works from the speaker level outputs from the factory radio.  So replacing the radio your hookup will work the same.  The only thing that is different is you will have to trigger the factory amp on with the new radios blue/white trigger wire.  A good way to find that wire is to test the factory radios wiring whlie it is still hooked up on the truck.  Probe the seperate small plugs for a wire that shows 12volts only when the radio is turned on.  Usually this is found in a smaller seperate wire other than the ones found in our harness.  Now if you truck is a 2013 model the blue trigger wire is in our harness and all you have to do is make sure you hook the blue/white to it and you will turn on the factory amp.
